Fantasy Four: David Beckham (Follow Up)
1 comment? We've got an international fashion and sports icon, here!
, described Beckham as:
...über-metrosexual, not just because he rams metrosexuality down the throats of those men churlish enough to remain retrosexual and refuse to pluck their eyebrows, but also because he is a sportsman, a man of substance--a "real" man--who wishes to disappear into surfaceness in order to become ubiquitous--to become media. Becks is The One, and better looking than Keanu--but, be warned, he's working for the Matrix.
And the only one who commented on his post was my sometimes-metrosexual-but-mostly-geek-chic husband.
*sigh*. It's okay, though. You can make it up to me by reading and commenting on the far more titillating follow-up post here. (Just scroll to the bottom of the page before Aaron's lonely comment.)

Honestly, I don't think he's that interesting to talk about. He's fashionable, sure. The term "metrosexual" is so tired, and I'm glad it's gone away. So anything tied to the term is likewise tired. And since Beckham has been getting ridiculous monies to be in the disabled list for most of his time with the Galaxy, he's mostly a photographers model these days instead of an athlete. (And really, Mark Simpson, a man of substance? A man of means, sure, but not substance.) Mostly I'm unimpressed my Beckham because he's a disappointment. He was supposed to make US Soccer hugely popular, didn't happen. But the worst is, he looks good, he should be very masculine. But every time he opens his mouth, Mary Poppins' purse falls out. That's the real purse in question here.
The article is very good! I like it very much, but If you can add more video and pictures can be much better, I have never read such a lovely article and I am coming back tomorrow to continue reading.replica rolex day date watches.
